MONTREAL – The Montreal Impact announced on Monday following the league’s confirmation that 11 players are under contract for the 2016 season.
Those players are defenders Laurent Ciman and Ambroise Oyongo, midfielders Patrice Bernier, Marco Donadel, Calum Mallace, Ignacio Piatti, Nigel Reo-Coker, Andrés Romero and Johan Venegas, as well as forwards Didier Drogba and Romario Williams.
The club has to decide whether or not to exercise the contract options of the remaining players before the end of November, while the current contracts of midfielders Justin Mapp and Dilly Duka expire at the end of 2015.
