As the Impact gets ready to begin the 2014 season, here are 14 dates you should circle in your calendar.
And with the FIFA World Cup just a few months away, this should be an very exciting year for soccer fans.
January 16: MLS SuperDraft, Philadelphia- The Impact will get the the 10th, 29th, 37th, 48th and 67th picks in this year’s edition.
January 27: Training camp - New head coach Frank Klopas will hold his very first preseason training session with the Impact as it gears up for the 2014 campaign.
February 19 - March 1st: Disney Pro Classic- The Impact heads to Orlando hoping to repeat last year's performance.
March 8: First game, Impact @ FC Dallas - Kickoff at 8:30pm ET at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas.
March 22: Home opener, Impact vs Seattle Sounders FC, Olympic Stadium - It's good to be home. Have you joined the club yet ?
April 26: First game at Stade Saputo, Impact vs Philadelphia Union - Maybe this time it won’t snow.
May 7-14:Amway Canadian Championship - Time to defend the title. Montreal starts against the winner of FC Edmonton vs Ottawa Fury.
June 4: ACC Final - Can the Impact make it two in a row?
June 12 - July 10: 2014 FIFA World Cup - The greatest sporting event on earth kicks off in Brazil, with the hosts taking on Croatia in Sao Paulo. Catch all 64 games live on TVA Sports and CBC/Radio-Canada.
August 2: Impact vs Toronto FC - More than just a soccer game.
August 5-24: 2014 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup - The Olympic Stadium will host the tournament’s final as part of the preparations for the 2015 Women's World Cup. Can Canada go all the way?
August 6: AT&T MLS All-Star game - Which Impact players will face Bayern Munich in Portland?
Late October: Playoffs - Anything can happen.
Early December: MLS Cup - Only 11 months left. Could 2014 be the year of the Impact?
