Highlights
Strangely enough, as the workload got back to normal with four games in four weeks, the Impact began to struggle a little, losing two of its four matchups during the month, including a first loss at Stade Saputo in 2013. The month did start off on a good foot, winning the first game on the road versus Sporting Kansas City. Down one goal at halftime, the Impact came back to win 2-1 at Sporting Park on June 1, despite finishing the game with 10-men after defender Alessandro Nesta was shown a red card.

Challenges
The Impact held the lead on two occasions in the last matchup of the month before eventually falling to the Colorado Rapids by a 4-3 score on June 29 in what was the team’s first loss at home in 2013.
Standout performances
Despite the loss to Colorado, two Impact players exceled on the night. Impact forward Daniele Paponi scored a brace, including a curler to open his MLS regular season account, while defender Hassoun Camara scored an over-the-head golazo from the seat of his pants!
This and That
Two unlikely goal scorers helped the impact to the come-from-behind victory over SKC, Collen Warner and Sanna Nyassi. Both players managed their only goals of the 2013 season in Kansas City.
