USSDA
Last weekend, the U18 and U16 Montreal Impact Academy teams faced the New England Revolution Academy teams in USSDA competition.
The U18s tied 2-2, coming from behind and scoring two second half goals. Badreddine Boulajoul and Fabrice Mbvouvouma scored for the Bleu-blanc-noir.
“We started off very well, creating many chances, but were unable to score,” said U18 interim head coach Simon Gatti. “I told the guys that when we do well, we need to show it with goals as well. Then the Revs punished us. But our team never gives up. We found a way to score twice. I’m happy that we reacted positively. We felt at the end that the guys were really pushing for the win.”
For the U16s, the team lost its first game of the season by a 3-2 score. Despite good control of the game, the Revs scored on the counter to take the lead. Olujimi Aribido and Brandon Garcia scored for the Impact.
Both teams will face FC Boston Bolts this Saturday, with the U18 playing at 11am and the U16 at 1:30pm. Both games will be played on the synthetic field at Stade Saputo.
