The Impact U16 and U18 teams kicked off their seasons in the US Soccer Development Academy (USSDA) with two wins by identical 5-2 scores against BSC CT Academy.

The club’s U18 team kicked things off at the Marie-Victorin Sports complex, racing out to a 3-1 halftime lead, with Heikel Jarras scoring a brace and Guillaume Trudel adding a PK. The second half saw BSC CT Academy come out strong, making it a one-goal game seconds after the halftime whistle. However, the Impact regained control of the match, eventually winning 5-2 as William Thavixay and Samuel Duffek each figured onto the score sheet. David Paulemin notched the win in goal for the Impact.

The U16s also came out of the first half with a lead, going into the locker room up 2-1. The game had some tense moments accentuated by a tremendous save by Impact keeper Chris Hansen in the second half. Newcomer Don Junior Bobe managed a hat trick in his first action of the regular season and David Choinière and Eslyder Luarca rounded out the scoring in the 5-2 decision.

The teams will hit the road to Connecticut this Saturday to take on the Oakwood Soccer Club on the next day.

The U16 team will return to the friendly confines of Montreal to finish the round robin portion of the Genaration Adidas Cup on the weekend of October 11, before facing the New England Revolution Academy at home on October 20.
