MONTREAL – Forward Bjørn Johnsen and defender Mustafa Kizza were called up by their national team and left the CF Montréal training camp on Thursday.
Johnsen was called up by the Norwegian national team for the next three 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying games. Norway will face Gibraltar on Wednesday, March 24, Turkey on Saturday, March 27, and Montenegro on Tuesday, March 30. Johnsen made his debut with Norway in 2017, in the FIFA World Cup European qualifiers. He played 16 games with his national team, scored five goals and got one assist.
Kizza was called up by the Uganda national team for the next two African Cup of Nations qualifying games. Uganda will face Burkina Faso on Wednesday, March 24, and Malawi on Monday, March 29. With his national team, Kizza played 12 games and scored four goals.
Johnsen and Kizza will then join CF Montréal in Florida.
