On May 18 of every year, the Haitian people celebrate their Flag Day.
No one can resist our Haitian friends’ drive and enthusiasm, and the Montreal Impact wants in on the party. That’s why, on Saturday, May 14, the club hosts the Philadelphia Union for the Haïti chérie event at Stade Saputo, in collaboration with Maison d’Haïti.
The promo code haiticherie allows you to purchase tickets online (choosing the Sky Blue section before entering the code) for the event. Tickets are also on sale by phone at the Impact ticket office (514-328-3668) and at Maison d’Haïti (514-326-3022, ext. 221). For every one of these tickets sold, $5 will go to Maison d’Haïti.
It’s going to be a special day, and the Impact has many surprises in store. A rara parade will take place before the action kicks off at the stadium, where food concession stands will have Haitian patties on sale.
Music from Haiti will also be added to the playlist on the Stade Saputo PA system. National anthems before the game will be sung by Gaya, a Haitian-Canadian singer that you may have seen perform on La Voix.
Enjoy the game, of course, starting at 5pm EDT at Stade Saputo. Be wary of roadwork around the stadium. And don’t forget: be there on time.
