MONTREAL – CF Montréal announced on Tuesday that it has acquired goalkeeper Sebastian Breza for the 2021 season, on loan from Italian club Bologna FC 1909.
“We are pleased to welcome with us this Canadian international,” said CF Montréal sporting director Olivier Renard. “He’s very talented and knows several players on this team already, and he will bring additional competition to Clément (Diop) and James (Pantemis).”
Breza, 23, left the Ste-Julie Soccer Club when he was 16 years old to join S.S. Monopoli 1966, in Italy. Loaned to Palermo FC in 2016, he then played 54 games with Potenza SC in the Italian third division before joining Bologna FC 1909, on August 29, 2020. He was also selected by the U20, U21 and U23 Canada teams in the past.
