MONTREAL – As a result of the increase in COVID-19 cases and the rapid transmission of the Omicron variant, CF Montréal announced on Wednesday changes to its 2022 training camp schedule, presented by Allstate Insurance.
As planned, the team will proceed with player medical testing on January 10. The team will then begin training portion and will remain in Montreal, longer than originally planned. CF Montréal will hold training sessions in Montreal until January 27. The team will continue its training camp in Orlando until February 3, at which point it will travel to Fort Lauderdale to conclude its training camp until February 13.
The team will travel to Torreón, Mexico, on February 13 for its first game in 2022: the Concacaf Champions League Round of 16 first leg against Santos Laguna on February 15 at 10pm ET. The second and deciding leg of this aggregate-goal series will take place in Montreal on Tuesday, February 22 at 8:30pm ET.
The preseason match calendar and media availability schedule will be released at a later date.
