CHESTER, Pennsylvania - On the eve of the June international FIFA window, CF Montréal will play its 16th match of the season this Saturday at 7:30pm against the Philadelphia Union at Subaru Park (MLS Season Pass, BPM Sports, TSN 690).
The Montrealers will be looking to pick up points in a third consecutive match and continue their climb up the Eastern Conference table.
Named to the MLS Team of the Week following his brace against D.C. United, Nigerian striker Sunusi Ibrahim now has seven career goals as a substitute with CF Montréal. The Club record currently stands at eight, held by Anthony Jackson-Hamel.
In addition, seven CF Montréal goals this season have been scored by players off the bench. The Club record is also eight, set for the first time in 2021 and tied in 2022.
The Philadelphia Union is coming off two consecutive goalless draws, first at Charlotte on May 25, and more recently against Toronto FC at Subaru Park. The Union, eighth in the East, is the side with the third-best offence in the conference. However, Jim Curtain’s men have struggled with their home form this season, posting a 1-4-2 record in Pennsylvania thus far. The Union's last win came on May 18 in a 3-0 victory over the New England Revolution at Gillette Stadium.
