SEATTLE, Washington – CF Montréal is set to play the last of six consecutive road games to open the 2024 season, this Saturday at Lumen Field, against Seattle Sounders FC, at 10:30pm EDT (MLS Season Pass, RDS, TSN, BPM Sports, CJAD 800).
The Bleu-blanc-noir holds an overall 6-2-1 record of (13 goals scored, 8 goals conceded) against the Sounders and a 3-1-0 record in Seattle. Upon their last visit to the Evergreen State in 2022, the Montrealers collected all three points, inflicting a 2-1 defeat to the hosts despite trailing from the third minute of the match.
The Sounders, one of the most decorated clubs in MLS history, have had a complicated start to the season. After five games, Brian Schmetzer's team is still in search of its first win of the season with a 0-3-2 record. In their most recent outing, on March 30 at the LA Galaxy, the Sounders were shut out 1-0.
Following this match in Seattle, CF Montréal will finally return home to play its 2024 home opener at Stade Saputo against FC Cincinnati on Saturday, April 13 at 7:30pm.
