Hernan Losada’s men looking for big result on the road

It will be Montreal’s third straight road game to start the season. Head coach Hernan Losada’s men have shown resilience until now, while some young players have impressed in their debuts so far this season.
Homegrown players Jonathan Sirois, Sean Rea and Nathan Saliba all played their first MLS minutes in the first two games, while the Club set a record against Austin by fielding four Homegrown players in the starting 11 for the first time in Club history.
“The team in general progressed quite a bit,” said head coach Hernan Losada. “For Sean and Nathan, it was already a second game played. It’s the beginning of the season for everyone. There was a lot of progress tactically but also physically. We’re going to continue in this direction.”

The Tennessee representatives are unbeaten on their end, winning their opening game of the season 2-0 against New York City FC, before travelling to New Jersey to take on the New York Red Bulls and coming back with a scoreless draw. Nashville SC is a part of the Eastern Conference this year, switching over from the West for the start of the 2023 season.
“Nashville has four points and kept a clean sheet in both of their game,” added Losada. “They didn’t have a shot on goal against the Red Bulls. We had a lot against Miami, less against Austin, but we couldn’t score. We need a little more efficiency on the last pass, but we’re getting opportunities, and it’s a matter of time before the goals and the points come.”
