CF Montréal will face Cruz Azul on March 16 at Olympic Stadium

MONTREAL – CF Montréal announced on Friday its schedule for the upcoming Concacaf Champions League quarterfinals against Mexican club Cruz Azul.

The first leg of this aggregate-goal series will be played at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City on Wednesday, March 9 at 10pm ET, while the return leg will take place on Wednesday, March 16 at 8pm ET at the Olympic Stadium.

Tickets for that decisive game will be available this Saturday at 10am starting at $20 (plus taxes) on

the club’s website. Season ticket Members will have the opportunity to buy additional seats today at 5pm.

Cruz Azul reached the quarterfinals on Thursday night, winning the second leg 3-1 (4-1 on aggregate) against Canadian Premier League club Forge FC, in Mexico City.

CF Montréal and Cruz Azul will face each other for the first time in Concacaf Champions League. The 2021 Clausura season reigning champion in Liga MX, with only two losses in 17 games, is currently third in the Mexican championship with four wins, one loss, and one draw.

CF Montréal shut out Santos Laguna 3-0, Wednesday at the Olympic Stadium, to punch its ticket to the tournament’s quarterfinals for the fourth time in club history (2009, 2015, 2020 and 2022).
