For Gbeke, a Quebec citizen from the Ivory Coast, it will be his first experience with the national team, whereas Ribeiro, a Quebec citizen of Portuguese origin, was part of the National Canadian Team during the CONCACAF Gold Cup tournament, from June 6 to 24, 2007. He was however on the bench during the five tournament games.
