MONTREAL – The Canadian Soccer Association announced Friday that goalkeeper Maxime Crépeau and midfielder Zakaria Messoudi, of the Montreal Impact first team, as well as defender Dominique Morin, of the Impact U21 team, were named to Canada’s 20-man roster for the 2013 Francophone Games, taking place in Nice, France, from September 3 to 15.
The Canadian U21s will take part in four group-stage matches, playing Cameroon on September 3, France on September 6, Rwanda on September 8 and Congo on September 10. The top two teams from Canada’s group will qualify for the tournament semi-finals.
