Didier Drogba is back at Centre Nutrilait.
The Ivorian striker scared Montreal fans just a bit on Thursday afternoon when he missed Montreal Impact training. But Drogba was back with his teammates at the Notre-Dame St. training centre after he battled an infection this week.
“Didier is here,” said head coach Mauro Biello before training. “He’s feeling better after experiencing gastroenteritis symptoms on Wednesday night. We’ll see how he is after training today, and we’ll make a decision afterwards.”
Drogba certainly hopes to be fully fit for this Saturday at 7:30pm at Stade Saputo, when the Impact takes on the Chicago Fire, a rival that he knows quite well. A limited number of excellent tickets for this game presented by Uniprix are still available on impactmontreal.com.
