Our eSports player Loux11 looking to bring eMLS Cup back to Montreal
The eMLS Cup is back in a big way in 2025, with the eighth edition of the competition set to take place in New York City from March 12-14. Our eSports player Loux11 will be on site in the Big Apple to try and bring the prestigious cup back home and a share of the $50,000 prize pool!
“The eMLS Cup is being played over one week this year, so there's really no room for error,” said Alix. “If it's not your week, you've got no chance of catching up, so you're really going to have to be focused from the start of the competition! There are also far fewer teams than in recent seasons, and with the arrival of international players, the level is much higher, so there will be absolutely no easy matches!”

Qualifiers will take place on March 12 and 13 and will be streamed live on the Club’s Twitch channel. Loux11 will take on every single eMLS player on March 12, with the top four players progressing directly to eMLS Cup, and the bottom two players eliminated. On March 13, the remaining eight players will take each other on for the last four spots. In total, eight players progress to eMLS Cup on March 14, which takes place Friday at the Whitney Museum of American Art from 11am to 3pm.
You heard that right. eMLS Cup is set to take place in a prestigious museum, amid music performances and immersive art experiences. It’s something you don’t want to miss! You can follow all the action Friday on the MLS Twitch channel.
“Like every year, there are some very good players in eMLS, and I already know many of them, like Paulo Neto, King CJ, Lamps and K1John, who for me are the top players every year,” explained Alix. “However, this year sees the arrival of two Brazilians with a lot of experience, who will be eagerly awaited and will display a very high level! They are PhZin from NYCFC and GuiBarros from NYRB.”
Loux11’s official team
There were lots of restrictions put in place this year by eMLS as the players prepared to build their squad for the competition. Watch here as Loux11 takes us through the details and shows us his squad!
“As eMLS approaches, I'm feeling pretty good. I've been playing a lot to adapt to the restrictions, which are brand new for us this year, and I feel like I'm learning a new game, because I'm not used to playing with this kind of map, but it's an interesting challenge, and I can't wait! I'm hoping to repeat the TOP 3 I achieved on FIFA 23, but the level is getting higher every year, so the main objective is still to take part in the eMLS Cup!”
