The projected starting XI for the 2014 campaign will look a bit differently than the expected lineup at the start of preseason camp.
Injuries to Nelson Rivas (as well as a one-game suspension) and Maxim Tissot, who were both healthy at the start of camp, will not be available for this opening two-game road trip in Texas, starting with the season opener at Dallas this Saturday (8:30pm ET).
Not to mention the three game suspensions to Andres Romero and Marco Di Vaio, and you have a few other positions that will have to be filled.
“Marco is a huge part of this team, so it will definitely change the landscape of the team,” said forward Andrew Wenger. “But we have a great group of guys and we need to step up as a team. The guys on the field need to seize the opportunity.”
