Five CF Montréal Academy Women's Program players called up by Canada's U17 Team for Concacaf Championship

MONTREAL – CF Montréal Academy players Khadijah Cissé, Inès Nourani, Juliette Perreault, Liana Tarasco and Marée-Anne Van Doesburg have been called up by the Canadian U17 national team to take part in the U17 Concacaf championship in Toluca, Mexico, from February 2 to 12. They will fly to Mexico on January 23 for a preliminary training camp.

Canada will play in group B facing Puerto Rico, Panama, and the United States. The best two teams of each group will advance to the semi-finals where the winners qualify eventually for the World Cup in the Dominican Republic from October 16 to November 3.

The five players currently play for the CF Montréal Academy Women’s Program cofounded by BMO in the semi-professional provincial league Ligue1 Québec.

Cissé is a 15-year-old goalkeeper from CS Longueuil. Nourani, a 16-year-old fullback, was trained in Royal Sélect de Beauport. 16-year-old Perreault (Celtix du Haut-Richelieu), Tarasco (Union Lanaudière Sud) and Van Doesburg (Lakeshore SC) play as midfielders.
