The team qualifies for the International U14 in June
MONTREAL – FS Salaberry won the final of the International U14 Qualification Tournament, presented by Nutrilait, beating CS Saint-Laurent 1-0. The team will now take part in the International U14, presented by the Fédération des producteurs d’oeufs du Québec, from June 27 to 30.
Amadou Diallo scored the only goal of the game with a shot just below the bar from outside the box in the 29th minute. Dialup was also named the tournament’s top scorer with three goals.
FS Salaberry won all its games in the tournament without conceding a single goal, with a total of eight goals scored.
“Salaberry never took part in this tournament, so we prepared well,” said FS Salaberry head coach Demba Sissoko. “We won the Concordia League in the Winter and during the Summer, so we decided to register to this tournament. We are proud to go to the International U14 with the Impact because we are proud Montrealers.”
FS Salaberry will have the chance to play against the Montreal Impact, Bologna FC, D.C. United, New York City FC, the New York Red Bulls, the Chicago Fire and Toronto FC at the International U14. The club will also have access to a mezzanine during an Impact game at Stade Saputo.
