MONTREAL – CF Montréal defender George Campbell was called up on Friday by the U23 United States national team for two upcoming fixtures during the international break from March 18 to 26.
The U.S. U23s, which are preparing for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, will take on Guinea on March 22 at Nou Estadi Municipa, in Olot, Spain, then France on March 25 at Stade Bonal, in Montbéliard.
This represents Campbell’s second career call-up at the U23 level. During the Chester, Pennsylvania native’s last U23 national team camp, he played 61 minutes in a 1-1 draw to Iraq on November 18 and 16 minutes in a 1-0 loss to Morocco on November 21.
