MONTREAL – The Montreal Impact announced on Monday that the club has re-acquired German goalkeeper Kristian Nicht on loan from NASL club Indy Eleven, until March 19, 2015.
He will serve as backup goalkeeper for the first leg of the Champions League semifinal against Costa Rican club Alajuelense, on March 18 at 8pm at Olympic Stadium.
Goalkeeper Maxime Crépeau currently has a shoulder injury, while teammate Eric Kronberg is ineligible for the tournament after having played with Sporting Kansas City.
Nicht, 32, was previously acquired on loan on February 5, serving as backup goalkeeper for both Champions League quarterfinal games against Mexican club C.F. Pachuca.
