Impact ready for biggest game in club history

The Montreal Impact managed to get a good result on the road in the first leg of the CONCACAF Champions League finals with a 1-1 draw at Estadio Azteca. Consequently, it now has an all-important away goal in its back pocket.
As such, the IMFC coaching staff is expecting that Club América will want to come to Canada and do no less than play for the win.

“They are going to push the game for sure,” said Impact head coach Frank Klopas. “We expect them to approach the game like they did at home, despite being on the road this time around.”
The Impact has the advantage of playing at home in the decisive matchup. However being ready for the crucial game in front of its supporters means that IMFC will need to be a little better with the ball.

“There will be opportunities on the break, like in the first game, but we have to be better in possession,” added Klopas. “We have to limit their opportunities on the ball. Last game, we suffered a little in the second half and that had to do with the altitude a little. We will be better in possession at home.”
