MONTREAL – The Haitian Community Sports Association (AUCHEM), in collaboration with the Montreal Impact and the Haitian Football Association, announced on Wednesday that the Impact U21 team will play a friendly versus the Haitian national team on Saturday, June 22, at 7:30pm at Stade Saputo.

Tickets for the game will go on sale Thursday, at 10am, via the Admission Network (admission.com / 1-855-790-1245) or through the Montreal Impact (514-328-3668 or at the ticket office at Stade Saputo) at a cost of $15 presale and $20 on game day.
Fans may also purchase tickets at the following points of sale within the Haitian community: Polytronic, Meli-Melo, Michel-Studio and Steve-Anna.
“We are very pleased and proud to host the Haitian national team at Stade Saputo once again in an international friendly,” declared Impact executive vice-president Richard Legendre. “ever and will help in the national team’s preparation for the upcoming Gold Cup tournament.”
“We hope the Haitians, compatriots of Montreal and of Canada, all sports fans and friends of Haiti will bring their support to this event,” said president of the Haitian Football Federation, Dr. Yves Jean Bart. “We would like to thank all those who helped get this project off the ground, notably the Montreal Impact.”
The Haitian national team will be in Montreal from June 19 to July 6 for a training camp in preparation for the upcoming Gold Cup, set for July in the United States.
Prior to the team’s arrival, Haiti will face Spain on June 8 in Miami, Florida, and then Italy, on June 11, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Some notable members of the Haitian national team, which is ranked 59th in the FIFA World ranking, include: Johnny Placide (Stade de Reims -France), Jean-Jacques Pierre (SM Caen - France), Réginal Goreux (Krylia Sovetov - Russie), Jean Sony Alcenat (FC Petrolul Ploiești – Romania), Kervens Belfort (Le Mans - France), Judelin Aveska (Independiente Rivadavia - Argentina), as well Mechack Jerome and Peterson Joseph from Sporting Kansas City in MLS.
As for the Impact U21, two members of the roster are of Haitian decent, defenders Francesco Augustin and Jems Geffrard.
Take note that in 2009, Haiti played two friendlies at Stade Saputo, against the Syrian national team and the Montreal Impact, while the club was in second division.
