It was a close call, but Anthony Jackson-Hamel came through in the end.
The above applies to last Saturday’s game against Atlanta United, when Jackson-Hamel’s bold equalizer in stoppage time gave the Impact a 2-1 win, as well as to the AT&T Goal of the Week vote. After the tightest of races between him and David Villa, Jackson-Hamel finally got the upper hand on his rival, who also scored an improbable goal, by a mere four percentage points.
Jackson-Hamel picks up the crown from Seattle’s Nicolás Lodeiro, who won last week’s honours. The Homegrown forward and his teammates will be back in action this Saturday at 1pm when the Impact takes on the Union in Philadelphia (TVA Sports, 98,5FM & TSN Radio 690).
