Impact U21 midfielder Jérémy Gagnon-Laparé earned his first cap with the senior men’s Canadian National Team on Sunday, and then his second Tuesday, as Canada took on Mauritania in a couple of friendly matches.
The Academy product came on in the 71st minute of the first game that ended in a 0-0 draw with Mauritania on September 1, in Valencia, Spain, in what was the first game under new head coach Benito Floro. He then replaced Tosaint Ricketts in the 52nd minute today in a 1-0 loss for the Canadians.
Jérémy Gagnon-Laparé has played in four games with the Impact in 2013 in MLS Reserve League action, making four starts and playing a total of 294 minutes.
