« It’s been almost 20 years that I’m here every summer, so it means something that I will soon leave this place behind. There’s no doubt that there are feelings when I think of this stadium, with all the wonderful moments I spent here. The fans have always welcomed us warmly and this field has also been one of the most beautiful in the league. Knowing that a new stadium awaits us, we realize to what extent soccer has evolved during the past years. And as a professional club, to have our own stadium can only be positive.»
MAURO BIELLO
« I’m disappointed of not being able to take part in this game due to my injury. I hope to be back for the playoffs to play one last game here. It’s a special moment for some of the players who have been present during various seasons. I experienced great moments here, such as our 1994 and 2004 championships. I also remember my first game in this stadium very well, with the Supra, and then with the Impact in 1993. I will remember a field that was almost always in good condition and a crowd that was very active during the games. We’ve always been well supported by the fans who created a great atmosphere in the general admission section. »

I participated and witnessed the growth of the sport and I must say that it was something special. This is now part of my heritage. We have witnessed so many great years and lived beautiful moments here that it is hard for me to single out a specific one. I got the opportunity to play at home, in Montreal, in front of my family and friends. I truly believe that these are the best years of my life. Of course I’m excited with the arrival of the new stadium because it will be a new experience for Montreal fans. »

« It’s not over yet, since we still have the playoffs ahead of us, but we have lived so many unforgettable moments during the regular season that this is a very special game tonight. We all have beautiful memories in our minds. The banner behind the goal reflects clearly what we have lived. It is special for a number of my teammates, who just like me, have spent a significant part of their career here. Nonetheless, it’s a logical step that we are taking, and that is occurring at the right moment in the club’s history. We needed to move on to something else and the future looks very promising. »
