HERNÁN LOSADA
“You have to play a match to the very end. We've got another game in two days' time. But I'm very happy with the team's performance. We played against a team with a lot of quality. Cincinnati was very organized defensively. The players who came on in the second half got the job done. But there are still five games to go. We're still in eighth place. It's up to us to preserve that position now.”
MAHALA OPOKU
“The movement of our players helped tonight to create chances and score. The coach saw the best formation to adopt at halftime to achieve that. It feels good to be on the scoresheet. I’m not happy about my numbers right now. I want to score every game. I’m just trying to do my best. I try to stay positive. Mentality is everything. In the end, we are human beings, and we learn every day.”
JOEL WATERMAN
“When you go toe-to-toe with the best team in the league, you have to take some pride in that. We’ve learned a lot in the last year. We came in with the right mentality. But it is bittersweet to drop points. For us, it was about staying solid defensively. Cincinnati has a lot of good players so we wanted to stay compact. We had good chances in the second half. Cincinnati tried to punish us in transition. We’ve had a lot of discussions as a back-three to make sure we preserve the clean sheets. We pride ourselves on making sure we give this team a chance to win every game.”
