Highlights: CF Montréal vs Philadelphia Union - May 3, 2025

MARCO DONADEL

"We have more plays in the box, we are more solid in transitions. I am happy that our performances are improving. I am pleased because the group understands. They talk to each other with positive energy. We lost on two or three shots, against a solid team. We will review the match because they make substitutions, they have good energy, and we drop a bit at the end."

NATHAN SALIBA

"Honestly, we are not being dominated in matches. We are getting closer and closer to our goal of how we want to play. We just lack the finishing to start getting results. It’s certain that this is not a time when we want to start sinking. We are coming off a good result in Toronto that allows us to continue in the Canadian Championship. We are playing for a cup, we need to keep going, but we must start getting results in MLS to climb the standings."

GIACOMO VRIONI

"This goal at home is a fantastic feeling, especially after several months of absence. I would like to thank the medical and performance staff of CF Montréal for their patience, professionalism, work, and care they provided me. They have been incredible. I think this is the life of a forward, sometimes you touch the ball and it goes straight into the net, and sometimes you miss the opportunity. This happens to the best players. I have trained with some of the best during my career, and it happened to them too. I think if you do the right things every day, you will always be rewarded twice as much. It’s not just in training, it’s every hour of the day, you have to work hard, recover, eat well. That’s what I tell myself to improve every day."

The Bleu-blanc-noir will be back in action next Saturday on the road against New York City FC at Yankee Stadium at 7:30 PM EDT (MLS Season Pass, RDS, TSN, BPM Sports, TSN 690). Interim head coach Marco Donadel's men will return to Stade Saputo on Wednesday, May 14, at 7:30pm against the Columbus Crew. You can already buy your tickets for the match HERE. Go Montreal!
