MATCH NOTE

-Joel Waterman scored his first goal of the season and his fourth regular season goal with Montreal.

HERNÁN LOSADA

“It's a close match, a complicated match, with a lot of duels. I don't want to talk about a lack of energy, or a lack of effort, but for sure we gave the Red Bulls too many chances. Both of their goals start with mistakes on our part. I am very happy with the group. In those six games in a row we won, the substitutes came in and had a great impact, and it’s never easy to come off the bench. On both goals, it's not a lack of communication. There are things we need to pay more attention to. It's a shame because even if the other team did well and deserved their win, the way we conceded those goals it’s hard to accept.”

GEORGE CAMPBELL

“I think it’s just a collective effort that we have to put in and be better, work harder, be more focused and together on the pitch. I don’t think it’s some magic touch or some mystery. It’s just the way it happens sometimes. We happened to have tougher opponent on the road, and the crowd that pushes us at home that gave us that extra boost. We just have to be better on every game. »

CHINONSO OFFOR

“I don’t think it’s a matter of fatigue. We rotated a lot of players, most of the players were fresh and it shouldn’t be an excuse for tonight’s result. It feels like we gave them those goals from the mistakes we made. We just have to work better on set pieces and do better next game.”
