MONTREAL – The Canadian Soccer Association has selected midfielder Mathieu Choinière (previous club: Spatial de Saint-Hubert) and defender Marques Antoine (previous club: CS Chomedey) for a U18 national team camp in Toronto and in Salvador from October 3 to 11.
The team will play two games against Salvador during its trip to Central America, on October 7 and 9.
“We’re always proud to have players representing the club with the national team,” said Impact U18 head coach Yoann Damet. “Marques is solid defensively in 1-v-1 situations, and Mathieu is a creative player that likes to use his technical abilities to play with his teammates. They are both players that work hard and progress with the efforts they put in daily.”
Choinière has previously been selected by the U15 and U16 Canada teams, while Antoine took part in U15 camps in 2014. Both players are currently playing with the Impact U18 in the USSDA championship.
