MONTREAL – The Montreal Impact announced that midfielder Shamit Shome successfully underwent surgery on Tuesday for a sports hernia. He will be out for six to eight weeks.
The Impact will be back in competition on December 15 or 16 to play the return leg of the Concacaf Champions League quarterfinals, against CD Olimpia, from Honduras, in Orlando, Florida. The semifinals will be played on December 19 and the final on December 22.
