MLS Fantasy: Two Impact players you should pick

Justin Mapp Andrew Wenger

With the first week of MLS play in the books, fantasy lovers are now in full swing with surprises and disappointments aplenty.

As fans of the Montreal Impact, you may be inclined to grab your favourite bleu-blanc-noir player out of allegiance. If so, here are last week’s top two performers from the match against FC Dallas:

Justin Mapp

No surprise that the Impact midfielder starting the season in the same form that got him an MLS All-Star inactive roster spot in 2013. His eight fantasy points put him in the top seven out of all midfielders in scoring, while only two of those were less expensive ($8.5 million). He also earned points on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball.

Andrew Wenger

At $6 million, Wenger is an affordable striker, and with Di Vaio out, he’ll be getting valuable minutes for the Impact. He earned seven points, scoring one goal against FC Dallas, and created a number of other opportunities.
