Nacho Piatti will miss this Wednesday’s game, but reinforcements are coming.

Impact Media can confirm that Ambroise Oyongo, recently called-up by the Cameroon national team, and Víctor Cabrera, out of action since mid-May, will both be available for selection by head coach Mauro Biello, this Wednesday night, when the Impact tries to overcome a two-goal deficit in its Amway Canadian Championship semifinal tie against Toronto FC.

“Víctor has worked very hard since he re-joined the group last week, and he’ll be an option for me. Ambroise came back from international duty on Saturday,” said Biello after Monday’s training session. “These players have played together and done well in the past. It also helps us in terms of confidence and cohesion.”

Cabrera, back from a slight lower body knock, missed the Impact’s last three games in all competitions. He has played 764 minutes in nine regular season games thus far in 2016, all as a starter.

Oyongo, for his part, has just qualified for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations with Cameroon, thanks to a 1-0 win against Mauritania, last Friday. Oyongo played all 90 minutes of this game, as he had done in Cameroon’s previous game, an honourable 3-2 defeat by France in a friendly in Nantes, last Monday.

The series decider will kick off at 7:30pm on Wednesday at Stade Saputo (RDS2, TSN, 985sports.ca & CJAD 800). Excellent individual tickets are still available on impactmontreal.com to see the Bleu-blanc-noir, which has already come from behind to grab points four times this season, take on this 4-2 aggregate deficit.
