He will receive the Medal of the National Assembly
To underline his participation to the living together campaign and for his general contribution to the Québec society, Montreal Impact captain and midfielder Patrice Bernier will be decorated with the Medal of the National Assembly, this Saturday around 2:45pm, just after the warmup prior to the game against Portland Timbers at Stade Saputo (TICKETS – TVA Sports, 98,5fm, TSN Radio 690).
The Ensemble, nous sommes le Québec campaign, launched in November 2016, puts forth testimonies by people who incarnate today’s Québec and who share their experiences of living together in our society and its wealth of diversity.
The Minister of Immigration, Diversity and Inclusiveness, Ms. Kathleen Weil, will be at Stade Saputo for the official ceremony. “Through authentic testimonies of people who incarnate today’s Québec, the Ensemble, nous sommes le Québec campaign allows to put forward our diversity’s contribution to Québec’s prosperity,” said the Minister. “It is an occasion to affirm our common belonging to Québec and to value intercultural exchanges and encounters. Opening to diversity, sharing and getting closer together allows us to know each other better and to eliminate prejudice, which makes us stronger collectively.”
