Nacho Piatti was nowhere to be found in Saturday’s 4-1 Impact win over D.C. United, but no worries: he’s back already.
Hit by a nasty virus in the last couple of days, Piatti re-joined his teammates in training, this Monday morning in St.Petersburg.
“I’m glad to be back with the group for training,” Piatti said. “I’ve been a bit sick these last few days. The doctor told me to skip training. I’m feeling better now, and I’m ready for Wednesday’s game against Toronto.”
Even without the Argentinean Designated Player, the Impact put together a fine performance against D.C. United. On re-joining the group, Piatti spoke of his enthusiasm for what will follow.
“We still have two weeks before the season begins,” Piatti said. “We have to keep working and be ready.”
