There is only one master of the spectacular goal this season in MLS.
For the fifth time in 2016, Nacho Piatti has won the AT&T MLS Goal of the Week award. No other player has earned this nod more often this season; Orlando City SC’s Cyle Larin has picked up the award four times, while the Colorado Rapids’ Shkelzen Gashi has won it twice.
Piatti charmed the voters with his wonderful curler that beat goalkeeper Clint Irwin of Toronto FC last Sunday. The Argentine defeated Columbus Crew SC’s Adam Jahn in the finals after knocking out FC Dallas’ Carlos Ruiz in the semis and Crew SC’s Harrison Afful in the quarters.
Nacho also wore this crown for weeks 1, 7, 10 20. Can he make it six? Find out this Sunday at 4pm in Foxborough when the Impact takes on the New England Revolution (TVA Sports, 98,5fm, TSN Radio 690 & IMFC Live).
