Mauro BIELLO
On the win…
“We came here to get two extra weeks of training after a few changes at the end of the season. It’s a good way to end the year.”
On his tactics…
“Our game plan was to defend well. We knew that they were a team tactically and technically. We suffered for 15 minutes where they had most of the possession, but we were able to grow from there and get the go-ahead goal. We played the counter afterwards and we could have scored a second.”
On the two weeks in Italy…
“I’m happy with the player’s behaviour during these two weeks. I’m happy with tonight’s performance as well and I hope that we’ll carry this into our 2013 preseason camp.”
On Andrea Pisanu…
“Pisanu has shown a lot of good things on the field and I thought he played well today. He has great vision. He’s not as physically fit and had to leave at halftime.”

On winning against a Serie A team…
“We played against a good team who is currently doing very well in the league. To win tonight was the cherry on the sundae for this trip.”
On adjustments made after the Bologna game…
“I think that the Bologna game woke us up. The level of play was faster here and we had to settle and be more organized. Playing in those games makes us realize that we are a good team, not only in MLS, but also against solid international clubs. We were solid tonight and I hope that we can bring this in 2013.”
On his offseason…
“I will now stay at home and take care of my family, while staying fit in order to begin next season on the right foot. I might also play hockey! It will be good to relax for a few weeks.”

On the last game of the year…
“It’s a good way for us to finish our year. We know it was only a friendly but they were a good side, with a lot of quality. I think we can pleased with the performance overall.”
On the result…
“It’s always nice to win the last game of the year. At the end of the day, you want to win every time you’re on the field.”
On playing against an Italian side…
“We have quality in our side. The more MLS grows, the bigger the teams get. You can expect to come here and get a good result against those teams.”
