CF Montréal Midfielder Samuel Piette was selected by Canada on Tuesday for the upcoming international window, running from Sept. 21 to Oct. 6.
Canada will face Chile on Saturday, Sept. 26, at 7 p.m. at Toronto's BMO Field, followed by Peru on Saturday, Oct. 3, at 2 p.m. at Stade Saputo (last tickets available here). A final friendly match will take place on October 6 at 8 p.m. at Allianz Field in Saint Paul, Minnesota, against the United States national team.
Piette, 31, has made 69 appearances for Canada, including at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The Le Gardeur, Quebec native will bring his experience and provide another option in midfield for the group selected by Jesse Marsch, head coach of the Canadian national team.
