The Montreal Impact is going into Seattle knowing that they'll be playing in front of a huge crowd, probably somewhere close to 50,000 people, to play one of the best teams in MLS since joining the league in 2009, having made the playoffs every year.
However, Impact head coach Marco Schällibaum feels his team is ready.
"We are playing one of the best teams in the league and we need to respect our opponents," said Schällibaum. "However, we don't fear them as we are a confident bunch after winning the Disney tournament. It's not the World Cup, but we were still the best team in the group of eight. We need to show our quality now in Saturday's game and bring our best."
The Montreal Impact is set to kick off the 2013 regular season on the road this Saturday, at 10:30 pm (ET), as the club plays the Seattle Sounders FC at CenturyLink Field on opening weekend in MLS. The game will be broadcast live on TVA Sports, CJAD 800 AM and 98,5FM, and is available on illico web, illico mobile and MLS Live.
