CF Montréal fans cast their votes for September’s Player of the Month, and Sébastian Breza came out on top.
This marks the second time the goalkeeper has received the honour, after also being voted Player of the Month in July.
Born on March 15, 1998, in Ottawa, Breza joined CF Montréal in 2021 on a season-long loan from Italian side Bologna FC. That same year, he helped the Club win the Canadian Championship. In January 2024, he completed a permanent move to the Bleu-blanc-noir.
This season, Breza has established himself as an important presence between the posts under Philippe Eullaffroy, recording 22 saves in eight MLS regular-season starts. The goalkeeper also stood out in the two-legged TELUS Canadian Championship matchup against Vancouver Whitecaps FC, helping the Bleu-blanc-noir secure a return to the tournament final, set for October 21 at Stade Saputo.
Breza succeeds Prince Owusu, who won the first two votes of the season in April and May, as well as in August. No vote was held in June due to the FIFA World Cup.
The winner of the autographed jersey will be announced soon on the contest page.
Congratulations, Sébastian!
