With the Impact finally getting a result last weekend in Philadelphia, the team is heading into the weekend with a number of home games on its schedule.
1. Home sweet home
This weekend’s matchup at Olympic Stadium marks the first of two straight home games, kicking off a stretch of four of the Impact’s next five games in Montreal, which, according to Justin Mapp, is important to “defend our home field.”
2. Who’s in / who’s out?
The Red Bulls may be without a few key players this Saturday. Forward Thierry Henry missed last weekend’s match, while midfielder Tim Cahill and defender Richard Eckersley were both injured during the game.
3. Di Vaio is back
Following his three-game suspension, Di Vaio returned to the lineup last weekend to help the Impact earn its first point of the season, opening his account in his first game, managing nine total shots on the night.
With Di Vaio scoring 15 of his 20 goals last season at home, will he find the mark this Saturday with the New York Red Bulls, helping his team earn its first win of the season?
