In just nine games last year, goalkeeper Troy Perkins was nominated three times for MLSSoccer.com’s Save of the Week, winning on his first nomination in August, 2012.
In 2013, he’s once again taken home his first nod for his tip away of Robert Earnshaw's strike from the edge of the 18-yard box last weekend, as he dove to his left to knock away the low drive.
Perkins' block claimed 42 percent of this week's vote while D.C. United netminder Bill Hamid came in second and third with 26 and 12 percent of the votes, respectively.
