Traditionally, the twelve days of Christmas begin at, well, Christmas, or the next day. But Impact Media, like a kid presented with an Advent calendar, has no patience.
We thus give you our countdown of the Impact’s top twelve on-field moments in this unforgettable 2016 season.

4. October 27, 2016: D.C. United 2-4 Montreal – Impact brilliant in Knockout Round
A 3-0 loss in New England days earlier had raised doubts in the Impact fanbase. But it was all part of a plan.
With a well-rested starting lineup, a confident Impact team walks through the doors of RFK Stadium in Washington for a Knockout Round meeting with D.C. United. Laurent Ciman scores only four minutes in, and the Impact never looks back.
Two goals conceded at the very end of the game cannot erase this magnificent Montreal performance, a 4-2 win over United. Matteo Mancosu scores a brace and delivers an assist in this win that sends the Bleu-blanc-noir through to its second straight Conference Semifinal.
