CF MONTRÉAL IN THE COMMUNITY
CF MONTRÉAL IN THE COMMUNITY

Since its founding in 1993, CF Montréal has always been committed to supporting causes that have a direct impact on the development and well-being of young people.

We deeply believe in the power of sport as a vector for social change. Through our initiatives, we seek not only to inspire the city of Montréal, but to mobilize the entire province. Young people are at the heart of our efforts. We want to encourage them to pursue their dreams, get involved and become agents of change in their own communities.

Diversity and inclusion also form the bedrock of our strategic commitment. As a team, we reflect the cultural mosaic of our community. This commitment to diversity is not limited to our composition on the ground, but extends to all our initiatives, seeking to bring people together, to value each identity and to create a space where everyone feels included.

At CF Montréal, we firmly believe that sport is much more than a game: it is a lever for change, a way to unite, inspire and build a better future for all.

On September 27 and 28, CF Montréal held two Sports Clinics on the Foundation's mini-fields, specially designed for primary and secondary school-aged youngsters from vulnerable neighbourhoods. Hosted by our Soccer Schools coaches and former players, these days are not only an opportunity for youngsters to hone their soccer skills, but also a means of boosting their self-confidence, developing team spirit and creating unforgettable memories.

Stay tuned for our next sports clinics in 2025.

The Match for Hope showcases the power of sport to bring a community together around an important cause.

CF Montréal uses its platform to raise awareness for pediatric cancers and rare diseases while supporting organizations that provide vital assistance to children and their families every day.

Through a variety of initiatives, the Club helps amplify the voices of young people affected by illness and increase public awareness of their realities. In collaboration with its community partners, CF Montréal also creates memorable experiences that bring joy, comfort, and inspiration to children facing these challenges.

Hospital visits
Hospital visits

Each season, CF Montréal players visit young patients at hospitals and rehabilitation centres across the Greater Montreal area.

These visits provide meaningful moments of connection, comfort, and respite for children and their families. Through their presence, players help create positive and inspiring experiences through activities, one-on-one interactions, and autograph sessions.

These initiatives reflect the Club's commitment to using its platform and influence to make a positive impact far beyond the pitch.

CF Montréal believes that a strong community also depends on a healthy and sustainable environment.

As part of MLS WORKS Greener Goals Week, the Club takes action each year to support environmental initiatives that raise awareness about sustainability challenges and the importance of preserving green spaces.

Alongside committed partners, players, staff, and employees participate in hands-on greening and revitalization projects that help enhance the quality of life in local communities and contribute to building a more sustainable future.

CF Montréal is proud to stand alongside Procure in the fight against prostate cancer.

Every year, Club staff members, partners, and representatives take part in the Procure Walk of Courage to support research, patient services, and awareness efforts surrounding a disease that impacts countless families across Quebec.

SPVM
SPVM

On August 20, CF Montréal had the pleasure of participating in the project's season-closing tournament organized by police officers from Poste de quartier 39 (PDQ39), bringing together over 50 kids for an unforgettable day dedicated to soccer in Montréal-Nord. For 10 years now, this community-based initiative has sought to strengthen ties between local youth and the police force, while promoting the values of sport.

Over and above the simple pleasure of playing, each young person who diligently follows the training sessions receives a complete set of soccer equipment as a reward for their commitment. This year, to make the event even more special, the SPVM corporate soccer team joined the party, accompanied by three of our players from the CF Montréal first team.
