Since its founding in 1993, CF Montréal has always been committed to supporting causes that have a direct impact on the development and well-being of young people.

We deeply believe in the power of sport as a vector for social change. Through our initiatives, we seek not only to inspire the city of Montréal, but to mobilize the entire province. Young people are at the heart of our efforts. We want to encourage them to pursue their dreams, get involved and become agents of change in their own communities.

Diversity and inclusion also form the bedrock of our strategic commitment. As a team, we reflect the cultural mosaic of our community. This commitment to diversity is not limited to our composition on the ground, but extends to all our initiatives, seeking to bring people together, to value each identity and to create a space where everyone feels included.

At CF Montréal, we firmly believe that sport is much more than a game: it is a lever for change, a way to unite, inspire and build a better future for all.

Sports Clinics 2024

On September 27 and 28, CF Montréal held two Sports Clinics on the Foundation's mini-fields, specially designed for primary and secondary school-aged youngsters from vulnerable neighbourhoods. Hosted by our Soccer Schools coaches and former players, these days are not only an opportunity for youngsters to hone their soccer skills, but also a means of boosting their self-confidence, developing team spirit and creating unforgettable memories.

Kick Childhood Cancer (KCC)

CF Montréal is proud to join the fight against cancer and rare diseases through the Kick Childhood Cancer (KCC) program. Throughout the month of September, in collaboration with MLS Works, the club set up various initiatives to raise awareness and funds in support of the cause.

On September 14, during a match at Stade Saputo, four youngsters and their families were welcomed into the community box for a memorable experience. For every ticket sold at the game, $1 was donated to the Benjamin Lepage Foundation, raising $19,619 to support children with life-threatening illnesses. Hospital visits

CF Montréal players visited patients at the Montreal Children's Hospital and the Rehabilitation Center Marie Enfant, bringing with them energy, encouragement and comfort. These special moments allow the players to share their positivity with the young patients and support them in their daily struggle with illness and rehabilitation challenges.

CF Montréal is proud to contribute to their well-being, offering them not only smiles, but also the hope they need to face their challenges with courage.

MLS WORKS 2024 Greener Goals

As part of Greener Goals week, which ran from April 17 to 23, the 29 MLS clubs, along with league staff, dedicated their time to environmental projects in partnership with local charities.

This year, CF Montréal partnered with Soverdi (Société de verdissement du Montréal métropolitain), a non-profit organization that has been working to increase green spaces in the city of Montreal for over 30 years. This partnership is part of our long-term commitment to a more sustainable future and a healthier environment for our community.

During the day, the team planted over 40 trees in the reforestation area of the Douglas Mental Health University Institute.

Marche du Courage Procure

A total of $506,000 was donated to the charity organization Procure.

Hundreds of Quebecers participated in the event, including many Club employees.

CF Montréal proudly participated in the 18th edition of the Marche du Courage Procure, held on June 16. This annual Father's Day event brings together hundreds of Quebecers for a 5 km walk in support of the fight against prostate cancer.

All funds raised during the walk are donated to Procure, the only charitable organization in Quebec dedicated exclusively to the fight against prostate cancer. Procure takes crucial action through research, education and patient support, notably via a 24/7 help line.

This year, thanks to the generosity of participants and the support of partners, an impressive $506,000 was raised during recent fundraising activities. This sum will help fund essential programs aimed at providing direct support to patients and their families, while continuing to advance prostate cancer research.

SPVM

More than 50 kids had the opportunity to meet and play with players from CF Montréal’s first team.

Nathan Saliba, CF Montréal midfielder developed at the Club Academy, was present to meet the young participants during the 2024 edition.

On August 20, CF Montréal had the pleasure of participating in the project's season-closing tournament organized by police officers from Poste de quartier 39 (PDQ39), bringing together over 50 kids for an unforgettable day dedicated to soccer in Montréal-Nord. For 10 years now, this community-based initiative has sought to strengthen ties between local youth and the police force, while promoting the values of sport.

Over and above the simple pleasure of playing, each young person who diligently follows the training sessions receives a complete set of soccer equipment as a reward for their commitment. This year, to make the event even more special, the SPVM corporate soccer team joined the party, accompanied by three of our players from the CF Montréal first team.
