The stage is finally set.
The Montreal Impact will begin defending the Amway Canadian Championship on Wednesday, May 7 at 9:30pm EDT in Alberta versus NASL representative FC Edmonton, at Clarke Stadium, in what will be the first game of the home and away aggregate goal semi-final series. The game will be broadcast live on Sportsnet.
Two goals from Eddies’ striker Daryl Fordyce and a goal and two assists from midfielder Hanson Boakai capped off a convincing 3-1 victory over fellow NASL side Ottawa Fury FC yesterday night, at Clarke Stadium, following a 0-0 draw in Ottawa the week before.
The return leg is set for the following Wednesday, May 14, at Stade Saputo, at 7:30pm (EDT).
